Speech Language Pathologist Job Overview:

  • Oversee CFYs (Clinical Fellows), temporary licensees, students, and support staff, ensuring they follow state licensure rules and professional standards.
  • Ensure the treatment schedule for patients is followed, including clinical documentation, billing, and attending necessary work-related meetings.
  • Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing discussions, and other related meetings.
  • Make referrals to other healthcare professionals or agencies to address the full range of the patient's needs.
  • Work with the rehab team and physicians to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on each patient's needs.
  • Adjust the care plan or program as needed to meet the specific needs of the patient.

Speech Language Pathologist Job Qualifications:

  • Active SLP license in state of practice.
  • Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language-Hearing Associate on (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA clinical fellow.
  • Must have a driver's license or reliable transportation
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous Experience as SLP is preferred.
