Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for marketing, promoting and profitably selling products and services to existing and potential customers
  • Seek out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers within a specified geographical territory and company Vertical
  • Establish and maintains customer relationships to grow profitable sales. Learns and evaluates customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements and preferences.
  • Make personal sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis using the regional Gexpro Services facility as the main office of operations
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in the specified geographical territory or vertical market for maximum productivity and sales growth
  • Partner with the program management, operations, quality, and sourcing teams on sales order execution and providing timely updates to our customers related to inventory planning and delivery
  • Support new product introduction and program implementation with Key Customers
  • Pursue product applications utilizing personal knowledge, internal specialists or other internal resources, vendor representatives and other available sources
  • Process product quotations and provides continuous follow up throughout the completion of the customer's purchasing cycle
  • Gather and reports to management information regarding the regional market outlook and customer landscape. Provides feedback on effective points of entry based on customer feedback and market analysis.
  • Achieve and maintains technical capabilities at required levels, attends customer seminars, schools and special promotions and participates in sales meetings, vendor seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge
  • Perform other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job.

 Regional Vertical Sales Manager Requirements: The Regional Vertical Sales Manager should preferably possess a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a sales role within the supply chain industry OR an equivalent combination of education and experience within the supply chain industry in customer sales/service capacities. The Regional Vertical Sales Manager should possess a combination of proven product and application knowledge, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, organization skills, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions with influence presenting to senior executives. The Regional Vertical Sales Manager should display the ability to learn and adapt products and solutions in effective manner to new and existing customers.

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
