About the Job

The Manager of Biopharma Marketing is a key member of the Biopharma Marketing team. The incumbent is a motivated and detail-oriented marketer who will assist in developing and implementing brand strategies to drive brand uptake and market growth in the dynamic market of oncology genomic testing. The incumbent will be responsible for building and leading customer communications and engagement activities. The role requires the ability to collaborate and contribute to projects that focus on supporting the intersection between translational research, clinical development, companion diagnostic/precision medicine, and commercial teams within biopharma customers. The Manager, Biopharma Brand Marketing builds the Foundation Medicine brand by clearly articulating the value of Foundation Medicine’s portfolio of tests and services to biopharma partners and demonstrating subject matter expertise of the portfolio, competition, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Content
    • Lead content development for marketing deliverables in conjunction with Product Marketing, including collateral, vis-aids/leave-behinds, pitch decks, webinars/programming, social posts/email, display ads, website, etc.
    • Responsible for providing input on BioPharma marketing strategy, especially around content and tactical needs, and own marketing activities associated with assigned customer channel(s).
    • Manage material preparation and participate in product launches and promotional events.
    • Monitor brand performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management on campaign effectiveness and market trends.
    • Actively track tactical performance metrics and report progress toward goals, adapting approaches where required to optimize marketing activities and drive business outcomes.
    • Ensure marketing programs and campaigns are executed effectively, efficiently, within budget and in accordance with all regulatory/legal requirements.
    • Use project management and collaboration skills to deliver against timelines, identifying and communicating potential risks as they arise and showing a bias for action to find a solution.
  • Digital Presence
    • Lead and execute social media strategy for the BioPharma business, delivering compelling campaigns based on business scenarios and product claims.
    • Support the management of the brand's digital presence, including social media, display and website content.
    • Deliver on social media display advertising utilizing paid, owned, and earned approaches, influencing data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
  • Engagement
    • Partner with the BioPharma customer-facing teams to listen to their feedback from customers or join discussions to gain voice of customer feedback directly or communicate our marketing strategy and plans
    • Collaborate with Business Development, Corporate Communications, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to messaging across various channels, continuously improving effectiveness and engagement.
    • Partner with Biopharma training team and appropriate product marketing and brand marketing team members to ensure BioPharma customer-facing teams have the training they need to effectively execute and amplify BioPharma marketing messaging.
    • Ensure access through Showpad to promotional and other educational content that supports customer-facing teams’ engagement with customers.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve objectives and ensure alignment on brand strategies, including but not limited to internal BioPharma teams, clinical marketing and operations, medical, legal, regulatory, corporate communications, creative, and media agencies/vendors.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with internal leaders, business development teams, cross-functional partners, and marketing vendors, as well as key contacts within the biopharma community
    • Travel up to 20% of the time, as needed, for conferences and events or customer/sales meetings.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years pharma, biotech, and/or diagnostic commercial experience; minimum 2 years marketing?in healthcare

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering social media engagement strategies at launch and across the product life cycle for both unbranded and branded campaigns
  • Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to senior management and customers
  • Ability to think innovatively in terms of engaging with customers and meeting their needs
  • Hands on mentality, strong focus on execution and result-oriented, self-starter, highly self-motivated personality with an understanding of how process can help to achieve business goals
    • Credible, dynamic, and creative professional with high energy and customer-centric mindset
    • Excellent communication skills and strong personal presence.
    • Experience within oncology?
  • Field Sales experience a plus
