Job Details:

Mercer University Athletics department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.


Responsibilities:

This position is to assist the head women’s basketball coach in all phases of the operation of the program. Duties include on the floor coaching, recruiting, video editing, and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and prior college basketball playing experience is required. Previous coaching and/or playing at the Division I level is highly desired. Candidates must have a working knowledge of NCAA and Southern Conference rules in relation to women’s basketball. A NCAA/SOCON recruiting test which allows coach to recruit off campus will also be required. Candidates must have the ability to recruit quality student-athletes who have the capabilities to be successful in a challenging academic and athletic environment.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel.
