We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to protect and enhance our organization's security infrastructure. This role is ideal for military personnel, veterans, or security professionals with expertise in cybersecurity, risk assessment, and threat mitigation. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
Implement security measures to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing.
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches.
Develop and maintain security policies, protocols, and best practices.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Provide training and guidance on cybersecurity awareness to employees.
Requirements
Military experience (preferred but not required), or equivalent experience in cybersecurity.
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.).
Proficiency in security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, vulnerability scanners).
Experience with incident response and risk assessment.
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Relevant certifications preferred: Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, or GIAC.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
