JOB SUMMARY:
Provides technical and professional support of the daily operations of the Communication and Records Department within CUPD. Assists with data collection, production, reporting, delivery and dissemination of police records. Reviews incident reports for accuracy and to assure proper UCR classification. Coordinates the Clemson University Lost and Found Program. Performs duties of a Call Taker as needed during shift shortages, - holidays, weekends, special events - based on the needs of the department. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
55% - Essential - Police Records Operations: Oversees and manages the collection of all incident reports for the Police Records Management System (RMS). Organizes reports for file and categorizing. Ensures each report has the correct SCIBRS UCR for NIBRS uploads. Assists Communication Coordinator with regulating the distribution of all police records. Prepares documentation for distribution at the request of a Brady Motion and/or FOIA daily. Prepares, distributes, and retains data collection for the daily crime log.
15% - Essential - Compliance: Maintains records for and reviews rules and regulations for compliance regarding full expungement orders for individuals who successfully complete the PTI/AEP program. Completes monthly data entry of Public Warning Citations to the Department of Public Safety. Reviews and documents all Traffic Collisions monthly for filing and claims requests. Conducts monthly e-citation audits for quality and assurance. Responsible for assuring compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Campus Safety Act and handles distribution accordingly.
15% - Essential - Data Analysis: Coordinates with the Clemson University Municipal Court by reviewing e-Citations in ReportBeam and SC DMV Portal ensuring they are uploaded accurately for court purposes; tracks and documents citations that have been rejected or voided. Provides monthly statistical data of citations, traffic collisions, and public warnings for the monthly CompStat report. Uploads Calls for Service and RMS data to the Crime Dashboard on CUPD's website.
15% - Essential - Administrative Support: Receives and organizes claims checks; ensures the check is receipted and documented with the Budget Center for proper account credit. Coordinates with insurance companies and individuals; maintains accurate records and compliance by copying and distributing reports according to policy and guidelines. Manages, vets, reviews and handles background checks at the request of other agencies. Receives, screens and disseminates all incoming mail and deliveries for the Department. Performs duties of a Call Taker as needed during shift shortages.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School or Equivalent - and work experience in collecting, scheduling, processing and reporting information in a data proces

Education - 1st Associate's Degree - And administrative support experience preferably in a public safety organization or related field.
