Overview

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 2pm - 11pm and Saturday 12pm - 9pm

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance services and repairs, encompassing plumbing, electrical work, painting, and basic machine servicing. Additionally, they engage in various manual labor tasks such as material handling, carpet and ceiling tile replacement, light bulb replacement, and grounds-keeping duties. Maintenance Technicians demonstrate proficiency in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to their assigned tasks. Upon completion of assigned tasks, they diligently update and close items in the company's computerized work order and preventive maintenance system. Maintenance Technicians may also be tasked with monitoring both internal and external clients' properties.



Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
  • General electrical repair and troubleshooting, including understanding the concept of 120v and 277, as well as the ability to wire 2-way and 3-way switches.
  • General plumbing knowledge
  • Competence in utilizing hand tools and power tools.
  • Painting and wall repair experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with forklift, scissor lift and boom lift


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; with a minimum of 5 years of Industrial Facilities Maintenance experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work outside of regular hours as dictated by client needs, projects, or workload, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel locally between various assignments, potentially requiring the use of a personal or company vehicle.
  • Obligation to carry a company cellular phone.
  • Availability for 24x7 duty.
  • Mandatory use of safety equipment or protective gear as necessary (e.g., insulated gloves, protective eyewear, hearing protection, safety belts, hard hat).
  • Occasional computer usage.
  • Extensive physical activities including walking, standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, crawling, and climbing, potentially involving equipment and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Preparedness to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, elevated platforms, etc.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various hand-held tools and equipment (e.g., hammer, welder, saw, drill, drill press, cutting torch, etc.).
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and potentially lethal stored energy sources (mechanical and electrical).
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate a 2-way radio or similar communication device.
  • May be required to administer basic first aid (e.g., adhesive bandages, oxygen, etc.).
  • May be required to operate a fire extinguisher.
