What you'll do...

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll lead the work of six to ten engineers for assigned Engineering projects by providing pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long- term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions.
You'll wow us if you:
- Lead and participate in medium-to-large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; writing and developing code; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
- Architect scalable and resilient applications and pipelines with distributed databases, dataflow, distributed queuesand ensure 99.99% uptime for all critical applications.
- Drive continuous process improvement and innovation by identifying inefficiencies in current processes; improving agility of the team; and adopting industry trends for innovation.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in cloud systems in order to migrate workloads from in-house data centers to cloud systems.
- Perform all benchmarking and comparison testing, documenting the findings, and writing technical papers to train and evangelize ideas with other engineers.
- Help invent the next generation of integrated omni channel experience that leverage new technologies for retail commerce.
- Research academic papers, opensource projects, and vendor products to devise optimal software solution to large-scale data problems involving complex graphs and asynchronous events on terabytes of data.
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities
- Prepare successfully completed projects for patent applications and guide other co-inventors in documenting and preparing relevant content.
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
