WebSphere Modernization Architect - Military veterans preferred

Seeking a highly skilled IBM WebSphere Modernization Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience with maintaining and modernizing enterprise IBM WebSphere applications. The ideal candidate will lead development of Websphere application modernization roadmaps while providing subject matter expertise for sustaining existing complex Websphere application deployments until modernization is complete. This role involves understanding and improving complex business workflows, providing technical integration support, and implementing performance tuning procedures.

Required skills/Level of Experience :
• Extensive experience with IBM Business Process Manager (BPM), IBM WebSphere Process Server, IBM WebSphere ESB, HCL (IBM) WebSphere Portal, IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, and IBM Form Experience Builder.
• Experience leading design, development, and maintenance of complex business workflows within enterprise IBM Websphere applications.
• Understanding of cloud architectures/technologies to drive application modernization requirements.
• Proficiency in databases such as Oracle, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and enterprise architecture definition and governance.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to provide informed decisions for current and future state applications.
• Proficient in languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, or similar.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices.
• Possession or ability to obtain and maintain the required a favorably adjudicated DHS Public Trust background investigation.

Preferred skills/Level of Experience:
• Familiarity with performance tuning and application configuration for IBM WebSphere products and other related middleware solutions/integrations.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, containerization concepts, and DEVSECOPS practices.
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues and implement robust solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and support development teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
