We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst based in New York, NY. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Invoicing
“Quarterback” monthly invoicing process.
Partner with Profit Center leads and SVPs to review invoice packets within the allocated deadlines.
Audit the invoice register within 12 hours of issuance to enable timely close of revenue and validate resource hours vs. projections and invoiced amount.
Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and prompted Operations Lead to reconcile when necessary.
Contract Management
Manage the details of contracts including contract completion date, level of effort contracted vs. actuals and important terms (i.e. annual escalation triggers).
Proactively support Profit Center leads in notifying clients for extensions and add services.
Provide approval of sub-consultant payments on behalf of the Profit Center leads.
Validate Contract Changes/ASRs maintain the reported margin.
Resource Management + Fee Proposals
Partner with seller doers to prepare profitability models for potential projects.
?Validate revenue, gross margin, and EBITDA projections for final fee submissions.
Track resource allocation and project profitability against PPME assumptions on a monthly basis.
Provide recommendations where required to optimize revenue and margin targets (i.e. adjust staffing mix to reduce fees to client while maintaining targets).
Maintain resource tracker for all New York project management team members to monitor roll off date and resource needs to hit target revenue/ support projects in the pipeline.
Help negotiate and document agreements on Profit splits with other Profit Centers.
Perform analysis for support recommendations for overall bonus / performance increases and evaluate the impact on project profitability.
Backlog
Manage the New York project management profit center backlog submission on a monthly basis.
Partner with Profit Center leads, BD managers and SVPs/VPs to validate data (contract end dates, monthly billing, etc.) on hard backlog.
Partner with Profit Center leads to verify probabilities of soft backlog.
Reporting
Prepare monthly analysis of New York project management profit center report.
Review anomalies with FP&A as required.
Prepare corrective action recommendations where necessary (for underutilization, margin issues, etc.) and review with Profit Center leads.
Utilize Profit Center reports to continually forecast year-end results.
Prepare the Monthly Business Review deck for New York project management profit center.
Partner with the Profit Center leads to prepare the executive summary.
Provide notes on the Profit Center reports to inform talking points.
Prepare select content for SVP Meeting regard high priority issue requiring action.
Quarterly Portfolio Reviews + Business Planning
On a quarterly basis, engage in a thorough audit of each SVPs portfolio.
Focus on utilization and profitability to-date.
Confirm utilization and profitability assumptions for the following quarter.
Assess the quality of their pipeline of potential work.
Provide solutions on where utilization and profitability can be improved.
Support the Profit Center leads in the annual business planning process; act as main point of contact to FP&A for actual Vena planning.

Qualifications:
BS in Finance, Information Systems or Accounting.
7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting and/or Data Analytics (preferably in real estate, construction, or non-for-profit environments).
Experience with Corporate Performance Management Systems preferred (BPC, VENA, Hyperion, etc.) preferred.
Experience using or familiarity with Power Query, Power Pivot, and/or Power BI a plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Desired Qualities: Organized and proactive planner; Clear communicator (oral and written); Good client and team relations skills; Team player.
