Description

The Fridley Lab at Clemson University is seeking applications for a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in invasive species biology to join a research team investigating woody invaders across light gradients across the Americas. The successful candidate will conduct field research in South Carolina; help analyze data and author publications; mentor undergraduate and graduate research students; and lead a research team in and around Florianopolis, Brazil. Funding is available for three years with annual reappointment. Start date is March 1, 2025.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an ecological field at the start of appointment; demonstrated research productivity and mentoring experiences; and an excellent working knowledge of R. Preference will be given to those applicants with field experience in Brazilian ecosystems.
