Threat Tec, a leader in operational support and intelligence solutions, is seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role will involve leveraging advanced modeling and simulation tools to support decision-making and provide innovative solutions for evaluating warfighter capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ modeling and simulation (M&S) tools across the DOTmLPF-P spectrum to support industry-standard and trade space studies, evaluating warfighter capabilities, solution designs, program recommendations, and overall performance.
- Develop alternative solutions and evaluations to inform decision-makers and senior leaders on force changes, resource allocation, and capability gap solutions.
- Support various experiment campaigns to enhance decision-making processes.
- Evaluate and develop alternative solutions to address capability gaps within DOTmLPF-P.
- Perform design, development, evaluation, and analysis in areas such as distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation, verification, and simulation development.
- Implement and integrate appropriate M&S toolsets to support trade space studies.
- Participate in experimentation-related forums, working groups, and external assemblies (e.g., conferences, technology showcases).
- Analyze information to identify relevant factors, propose methods for analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Travel up to 25% of the time on a monthly basis.
- Prepare reports, information papers, and presentations as required using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
- Develop and maintain an electronic resource, including key points of contact, to ensure mission continuity accessible to all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or modeling and simulation from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and integrating modeling and simulation toolsets in areas such as distributed simulation, object-oriented simulation, model validation and verification, and simulation development.
- 5 years of experience utilizing C++ or similar programming languages and software engineering tools across various operating systems.
- 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the military O5/civilian equivalent level.
- 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
- Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
- Familiarity with advanced simulation technologies and methodologies.
