Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for improving eciency and increasing departmental prots while managing the company’s overall operations. This position will oversee day-to-day business functions including management of operating budgets and performance of all operations within the facility. Responsibilities also include implementing overall strategy, managing people and enforcing policies. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a deep understanding of satellite communications technology, manufacturing processes, and demonstrated leadership experience.

Your leadership will ensure our operations, engineering, sales, and other functions work together to

deliver our customer base products that deliver the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Manages/reports performance of programs to achieve nancial targets
  • Identies and manages both business and programmatic risks
  • Develop key performance goals, design strategy and drive performance towards business goals
  • Oversee resource allocation while maintaining budget controls and optimizing expenses
  • Set policies and processes in conjunction with organization’s vision
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Oversee hiring and training of new employees to foster a culture of belonging
  • Evaluate and improve operations and nancial performance
  • Direct the employee assessment process
  • Prepare regular reports for business segment and corporate
  • Provides requirements for functional corporate organization to understand business needs
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. prot decline, employee conicts, loss of business to competitors)
  • Drive business initiatives to improve cost, quality, schedule and customer goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders including vendors, business partners, employees, contractors, customers and regulatory authorities

Qualications:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role with a deep understanding of business process and functions (nance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Understanding of nancial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive positive results
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other business operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and conict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to include servant leadership
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a team and collaborating across departments
  • Experience with review and implementation of an ERP
  • Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience leading a major manufacturing and/or engineering sit
  • At least 10 years of industry or other relevant experience
  • Ability to travel

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business; Masters degree preferred
