Summary: This cross-functional, collaborative, leadership position owns, develops, and steers, the integrated business, and supply chain, planning processes to deliver world class service performance to customers, optimum conditions for manufacturing efficiency, and maximized opportunity for sales, in line with business objectives, initiatives, and cost targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability - with or without reasonable accommodation - to perform the following duties but not limited to:

Set in place appropriate KPIs for planning team

  • Highly energetic, positive, customer-focused and data-driven individual, to support the Vice President of Supply Chain (VPSC) in supply chain planning, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and KPI deployment.
  • Lead, facilitate, and continuously improve, the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) integrated business planning process while ensuring consistent, productive, and concise, cross-functional deployment and optimized alignment between demand and supply.
  • Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to identify, analyze, quantify, escalate, and resolve risks and opportunities that may impact the successful execution of the annual business plan and strategic objectives.
  • Provide cross-functional support, in the form of guidance and data analytics, to refine demand and supply planning processes, and output accuracy, while generating valuable business insights and action plans that support successful business execution.
  • Appropriately lead, advise on, measure and continuously improve, the processes, and models, that comprise the supply chain management system including, but not limited to, demand forecasting, supply planning, material planning, working capital management, manufacturing capacity and network optimization, productivity management, portfolio optimization, and KPI reporting ensuring an optimized synchronization of demand with supply in line with business objectives.
  • Supply chain liaison who proactively collaborates with Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Distribution, Procurement, Marketing and R&D to plan and manage change transition and commercialization efforts in line with supply chain KPIs and business objectives.
  • Continuously spurs the team to identify, assess, and implement data technology solutions that improve S&OP data integrity and optimize the planning processes for better effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Determine and set in place dynamic statistical optimal inventory levels, and limits, for each distribution location and ensure that targets are functionally deployed to each site in line with customer service performance targets and relevant working capital objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement a singular planning solution to effectively, and efficiently, integrate the planning process in Dynamics NAV AFP with master production planning and scheduling.
  • Leads the team to develop, optimize, and communicate short-term and long-term production forecasts to support budgetary labor, capacity, and material, planning by production plant.
  • Ensures the robust management of the master data management process to support material management, 3rd party digital communication, and ERP/MRP standardization.
  • Manages, develops, and engages the planning team by assessing needs, establishing development plans, appraising performance, of both the team and its individual members, and taking corrective action where necessary to keep the team on track for success.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly, and indirectly, manage the supply chain planning team in an engaging manner while facilitating the cross-functional S&OP process. Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with company policies, safety rules and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience: This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university in the engineering, business, or supply chain, disciplines and 7+ years of relevant experience in consumer goods supply chain. Leadership experience with IBP (Integrated business planning) or S&OP (Sales and operations planning) process development, implementation, and facilitation, in the CPG industry is preferred. Experience with defining, optimizing, and automating ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), order fulfillment, inventory control, and MRP (Material resource planning) processes will also be beneficial to succeeding in this role. Must have proven success leading cross-functional teams.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Beyond the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documents, this role requires an outstanding ability to effectively present information, and drive effective discussion, at an executive level.

Technical Skills: Ability to analyze large amounts of data from various sources to identify trends and solve complex problems using effective knowledge of financial analysis, statistical analysis, data modeling, and cost accounting principles. Strong knowledge of data management processes and resource planning systems will be an asset to this role. Experience working in a Microsoft Dynamics environment preferred
