Description
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical RF Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, LDS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
LDS' San Antonio office analyzes vulnerabilities in DoD developed systems using advanced electronic equipment. The team must stay on the cutting edge of technology to assess a wide varied of systems and communication architectures, including but not limited to: unattended ground sensors (UGS), cellular networks, tactical communications, surveillance systems, unmanned systems (UxS), satellite communication, and Radars. The group stresses each system to the breaking point while emulating an adversarial red team. The testing is conducted in both lab and test range environments and the team must document the findings for the customer. The end goal is to ensure that equipment utilized by the Warfighter is secure when fielded.
Primary Responsibilities
Replicate and create open-source and commercially available adversary-specific threat and attack methodologies.
Conduct field assessments to identify electronic warfare (EW) vulnerabilities and mitigations for rapidly developed, experimental, and fielded technologies.
Provide full mission profile analysis and contested spectrum environments to assist with tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) development.
Basic Qualifications
Position requires Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
2+ years experience in one of the following technical areas: RF Engineering, Electronic Warfare (EW), SIGINT, digital signal processing (DSP), or software-defined radios (SDR).
Experience with RF equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and vector signal analyzers.
Competent technical writing.
Approximately 20% travel is expected.
Candidate must be able to maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with software defined radio is a huge plus.
Experience with Linux
An active Top Secret Clearance is ideal.
