Brief Job Overview/Summary

Under the direction of the Dean of Business, the Teaching Specialist will fulfill all the responsibilities and expectations of Stockton faculty as outlined in the University policies and procedures on faculty evaluation.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Offer courses in Hemp and Cannabis Business Management - 32 TCH per academic year
  • Serve as preceptor to students
  • Supervise student internships
  • Provide service to the University, community and/or profession, including responsibilities of Assessment of Student Learning
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Business and/or the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Required Qualifications

  • An earned master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline related to Hemp and Cannabis Business Management completed by the date of employment
  • At least six (6) months of work experience in the hemp or cannabis industries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching at the higher education level or similar instructional experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Evidence of potential for teaching in the Hemp and Cannabis Business Management field
