Overview
This position has two components: .75 FTE as project coordinator and .25 FTE as general research support.
As Project Coordinator, this position is responsible for coordination and management of the Advanced Laboratory Systems Academy (ALSA), a nondegree executive education program funded by the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL). The Project Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day and longer-range strategic management of this program, working closely with the Project Leader and the Deputy Project Leader. Activities include working with the consultant team of faculty to ensure curriculum modules are prepared; coordinating asynchronous learning between faculty and PSU academic resources; coordinating program promotion efforts with APHL; creating and managing a database of relevant program contacts (learners, field sites, faculty, etc.); managing registration and logistics for learners; planning and managing logistics for on-site learning activities; collaborating on designing the program evaluation, implementing evaluation elements, analyzing results, and preparing draft reports; serving as liaison with APHL staff and other partners external to the SPH; participating in team meetings; and other duties as identified.
Additionally, this position will support Dean Halverson in his research projects, including tasks such as proposal support, data collection and analysis, preparation of presentations, report writing, coordination of meetings and other forms of communication with research partners, grant and report preparation, contributions to the writing and preparation of scholarly manuscripts and presentations of study findings, and other duties as identified.
