Plant Electrician Position Summary:

The Plant Electrician is accountable for the electrical systems and components of facility and machine maintenance and installation. This person provides daily support for production activities by installing and maintaining electrical service for machines and facilities electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Plant Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular inspection and maintenance of interior and exterior building fixtures.
    • Identifies problems by working through a check list of inspection items.
    • Responds to requests by others who have identified problems.
    • Provides support, direction and assistance to outside vendors contracted to provide services.
    • Uses detailed duties lists to define specific areas of accountability.
  • Documents the location and nature of all electrical installations.
    • Develop and maintain blueprints and schematics showing electrical installations.
    • Properly label installations
  • Removes obsolete electrical installations, in order to avoid unsafe conditions.
  • Assists with machine installation by running power from the source to the machine.
    • Calculates electrical load of machines and takes care to insure proper sizing of conductors and equipment.
    • Participates in testing of installed equipment to ensure proper operation prior to turning it over to production.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.


Qualifications



Plant Electrician Qualifications:

  • Requires minimum Journeyman’s license.
  • Must test to get contractors license within 2 years of hire date.
  • Contractor's license preferred.
  • Must be able to show legal authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide Visa sponsorship.
