In this ACC Manager position

 

JOB PURPOSE

Participate in design and ensure implementation of the AFR pricing & RFQ/tender management strategy to support the commercial strategy in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 
  • Design and execute AFR pricing activities and ensure timely, efficient and globally competitive RFQ responses
  • Guide regions/countries on pricing and RFQ activities and monitor timely and accurate updating of local tariff
  • Ensure the development and implementation of prices for various air freight customers and products including perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.
  • Oversee RFQ development and clearly communicate guidelines for development of RFQs, particularly for high priority RFQs provide detailed guidance and for critical RFQs conduct launch calls
  • Ensure that customer and airline requirements and service, cost and budgetary guidelines are met
  • Direct the development and maintenance of databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
  • Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines and lead negotiations
  • Ensure the preparation of carrier performance reports and reviews
  • Periodically review processes and systems to enhance service quality and alignment with company’s direction and long-term goals
  • Scan alternatives to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
  • Study issues, determine opportunities and introduce best practices for AFR pricing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Oversee recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
  • Analyze complex issues, benchmark, identify opportunities and introduce best practices for AFR pricing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
 

STAKEHOLDERS

  • Influence others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across DPDHL
  • Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
  • Advise customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems and tools
 

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manage experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • More than 6 years within the same field
  • Excellent communicator in English, both written and verbal.
