POSITION: Project Engineer - IT

LOCATION: Jupiter, FL

STATUS: Salary-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Project Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of any project in a PSM's IT department, which includes leading a team of employees to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budgets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals
  • Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
  • Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees
  • Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
  • Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
  • Conducting risk assessments for projects
  • Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or related field
  • Project Management certifications Advanced Project Manager Certification (APMC) and Certified Project Manager (CPM)
  • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix

Skills/Experience

  • 3-5 years leading IT projects
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration
  • Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate and explain technical issues with team members and management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion
  • Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
  • Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills
  • Experience implementing SAP updates and enhancements
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Audio implementation
