Responsibilities

  • Create network traffic rules in Azure
  • Create network routing maps
  • Maintain documentation of subnets (13+), VLANs, and VoIP.
  • Manage SSL certificate requests
  • Run PowerShell reports on active directory objects
  • Stand-up cloud networking resources
  • Process DNS requests for public websites and IT resources (IPAM, Infoblox)
  • Interface with external IT service providers regarding networking change requests from lab staff
  • Test data transfer rates and channel bandwidth between buildings
  • Gather data storage requirements from lab staff for implementation into existing IT data storage architecture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and eight (8) years experience in information technology; three (3) years leading or performing systems engineering or related function.

  • 5+ years of experience managing resources within Azure/AWS

  • Experience managing private networks within Azure
  • Comprehensive RBAC and EntraID knowledge
  • Able to work with vendors to evaluate, procure, implement, and maintain SaaS tools
  • Able to work within a ticketing system (SNOW) to process various networking related requests
  • Basic understanding of SQL, database, and web-app resources
  • Understanding of CISA security principles
  • Ability to translate technical information to non-technical staff.
  • Comfortability managing complex networking projects with multiple switches and data sources.
  • Elite problem-solving skills
  • Experience standing up hybrid data storage architecture (On-Prem + Cloud (Hot) + Archival)
  • Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance
  • Dedicated to providing the best possible customer service

  • Demonstrates good written and verbalcommunication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure and functionality managing resources within AWS
  • Experience managing NetApp Volumes On-Tap or other SaaS/PaaS tiered storage tools
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerization tools
  • Experience with endpoint management tools such as Ivanti/PDQ/Jamf
  • Experience with Cisco ISE (NAC), Infoblox (IPAM), and AWS (archival storage).
  • Passion and skill for quickly learning new tools and approaches
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements with a flexible and creative engineering-focused approach to brainstorming, troubleshooting, and problem-solving

Basic Compensation: $122,000.00 -$ 138,000.00 yearly salary

The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicants salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
