Director, Product Management - Data Ventures - New Markets

The Walmart Data Ventures Director of Product Management , New Markets will be responsible for expanding our B2B platform into i nternational markets , play ing a crucial role in ensuring the product is successfully adapted, localized, and scaled across diverse markets .

About Data Ventures

The Walmart Data Ventures team exists to unlock the full value of Walmart's data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business. As part of this transformation, we ' re seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities Include...

  • Develop plans and presentations for articulating strategic direction, vision, and priorities.


  • Develop long-term roadmaps for international expansion in partnership with the Data Ventures Leader & other leads.


  • Translate Data Ventures direction, goals, plans and progress into clear terms for stakeholder alignment and leadership buy-in.


  • U nderstand international market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.


  • Identify regional differences in business practices, regulatory requirements, and customer behavior to inform product decisions.


  • Work closely with engineering, design, and UX teams to adapt the platform's features for international markets (e.g., language localization, currency support, regional compliance, and cultural relevance).


  • Ensure that the product is scalable and customizable to meet the diverse needs of users in different regions.


  • Develop region-specific features or integrations as needed to comply with local regulations or enhance user experience.


  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, legal, customer support, and operations teams to ensure alignment on market strategy, product roadmap, and go-to-market plans.


  • Drive cross-functional efforts to ensure smooth product launches in new regions, including resource allocation and risk management.


  • Maintain clear communication and reporting to executives and other stakeholders on progress, risks, and milestones.


  • Measure success and adjust strategies based on local feedback, product adoption rates, and KPIs.

  • E ffectively manage the complexities of expanding a B2B platform into international markets while ensuring alignment


  • Help drive Data Ventures' overall strategy, roadmap, priorities, and planning across the team


  • Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs


  • Develop, communicate, build support for, and implement business strategies, plans, and practices


  • Determine and support resource requirements


  • Responsible for product satisfaction rating


  • Scales with an enterprise-level approach


  • Sets and guides the overall sales strategy to ensure highest valuation by directing sales and the management of key accounts


  • Manages product managers, scrum teams, and product support


  • Drive portfolio strategy to maximize NPV and ultimately revenue potential


  • Develop new data product concepts, from initial use case exploration to complete go to market recommendation.


  • Identify ways to improve product performance and extend lifecycle, across the Data Ventures portfolio


Preferred Qualifications

  • Startup or new product/business experience and mindset strongly


  • Experience in retail/ eComm , B2B products, or data/analytics industries

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00-$312,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401:The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
