Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer has an opening for an Associate Shipping and Receiving Specialist role. This role reports to our TapeCase division located in Elk Grove Village, IL.

At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. You will receive materials into the facility and move to appropriate location. You will also prepare finished products for shipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Loads and unloads freight using various material handling equipment, including forklift
  • Inspects incoming freight for accuracy and/or damage and notifies Purchasing or appropriate third-party of any freight discrepancies or losses
  • processes shipments according to ship date using the company's ERP and EDI systems using departmental processes and procedures
  • Identify, retrieve, and records purchase order information in the ERP system.
  • Reviews customer orders to ensure accuracy, including material certifications, Safety Data Sheets, Certificates of Origin, RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), commercial invoices, and special labeling requirements
  • Completes paperwork for shipping in accordance with all government and industry regulations
  • Labels freight in accordance with applicable specifications
  • Arranges transportation services with freight carriers and couriers
  • Completes material transfers using company’s ERP and handheld equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification preferred
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve a high level of work quality
  • Any computer usage? Microsoft Office, ERP, distribution center software and/or hardware (UPC guns, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret order notes and execute order instructions effectively
