Position Summary...

What you'll do...

InfoSec Risk and Compliance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Global Technology Policy to join our team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and guiding the company's technology policies on a global scale. The Director will lead a team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and publishing Global Technology policies, ensuring they align with Walmart's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of policy experts in the development, review, and publication of Global Technology policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and technology departments, to ensure policies are comprehensive and enforceable.
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and assess their impact on Walmart's technology policies.
  • Provide strategic guidance on technology policy issues to senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry groups, regulators, and policymakers.
  • Ensure that all technology policies are communicated effectively across the organization and are adhered to by all relevant parties.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of policies to ensure they remain current and effective.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Law, Public Policy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in technology policy, with a strong understanding of global regulatory environments.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 6years' experience in information security or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.Option 2: 8 years' experience in information security or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

3 years' supervisory experience.
