Overview:

Tantus Technologies - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Communications Specialist for an Enterprise Portfolio Management Organization, providing communications support for our internal team as well as supporting communications-focused process improvement initiatives across a large vendor community that delivers a portfolio of services to our Federal client.

• Develop and maintain communications plans and tracking systems to ensure strategic alignment, timely delivery, and effective dissemination of key messages across various platforms and stakeholders
• Create and execute targeted communications campaigns to support the rollout of new tools and methodologies
• Increase user friendliness of digital products and technical information using graphics
• Format content into visually appealing layouts, data visualizations, and infographics
• Develop short marketing and micro-learning videos
• Establish creative direction for projects and initiatives to include logo development and style guides
• Support teams in conducting stakeholder analysis and crafting tailored messaging to address diverse audience needs, foster engagement, and enhance the impact of communications initiatives.
• Identify improvements in the Communications processes and recommend and implement changes as required
• Maintain content on our Atlassian Community portal, keeping information refreshed and interesting to drive use
• Prepare briefing materials for presentations to various stakeholders
• Monitor compliance and provide guidance to each program or project to ensure consistent use of established processes, standards, tools, and best practices

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications or relevant field. Additional years of experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
• 4 years’ experience in communications to include graphic design and video development work
• Exceptional writing skills with experience in copywriting and editing
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Pro
• Self-motivated with extreme attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong client relationship skills

• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities

• Experience using the Atlassian tools suite (Jira and Confluence)

Salary range is $65,000-85,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
