We are seeking a Product Coach who combines expertise in product management with a passion for adult learning and development to be the Product Management Learning Specialist for a federal workforce development program. Join us in a dynamic and collaborative environment, and play a key role in developing the product management culture and capabilities of our federal client.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Coach to design and deliver comprehensive training and coaching programs for product managers and other technology product stakeholders. In this role, you will develop educational material and conduct training sessions that empower our product managers and other stakeholders with the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to excel in their roles.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the design and management of end-to-end training initiatives, adapting content and delivery methods to meet emerging needs and incorporating the latest in product management practices.

  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and webinars for current and future product management practitioners.

  • Help learners understand and use common product management methodologies like Customer-Centric Product Management, Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Jobs to be Done (JTBD), and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

  • Utilize a variety of instructional design methodologies to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences.

  • Create a variety of training materials, including presentations, case studies, and interactive exercises in collaboration with learning specialists, learners, program sponsors and clients.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.

  • Foster alignment across the team by communicating the vision and goals of product management training, helping to build a cohesive approach among team members and clients.

  • Proactively seek out learning opportunities to stay informed on product management trends and best practices, integrating these insights into our training programs.

  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to product managers and team leads.

  • Pair with other learning specialists to innovate and deliver an integrated program that also includes offerings in human centered-design, leadership, product management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Product Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years industry experience, 3+ years of experience in a product management role or as a product management trainer/coach.

  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and user-centered design principles.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with experience in conducting training sessions and workshops.

  • Ability to develop comprehensive training materials and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful track record of developing and implementing product management training programs.

  • Proven ability to guide, influence, and build alignment across stakeholders to successfully implement change initiatives.

  • Experience in a federal agency or similar government setting.

  • Experience in a tech-focused or digital product environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants of varying skill levels.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for continuous learning and development.

  • Comfort with digital learning platforms and collaborative learning approaches.

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or similar.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Product Management, or a related field.

Years of Experience: 5+ years industry experience, 3+ years of experience in a product management role or as a product management trainer/coach.

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust/Suitability, which includes a requirement of U.S. residency for three out of the last 5 years

Salary Range: $135,000 - $145,000 annually
