More About the Role:
Leidos is seeking an End User Services Engineering Manager to support related efforts for SMIT, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.

What You'll Get to Do:
As the End User Services Engineering Manager, you will bring your passion of leading others and mentorship in software design and development to lead a team of software engineers to design, build, deploy, and maintain mission critical solutions that support our customers’ mission objectives. You will also be responsible for working with other product stakeholders, customers, and managers, contributing directly to the lifecycle of our customers’ products, as well as the career growth and development of your team.

Other duties include:
•Review task order requests from the Government and develop questions/feedback to refine the Statement of Objectives.
•Provide inputs to the Basis of Estimates for task order support.
•Prototype solutions as necessary to prove-out solutions and/or obtain stakeholder buy-in.
•Establish standard procedures and processes to be followed by the entire team to ensure complete, accurate, reliable, and certifiably auditable data is collected.
•Lead your team in creating and maintaining software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.).
•Organize the means to achieve solutions to highly complex technical problems.
•Significant collaboration and coordination with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.
•Comply with ITSM processes and procedures.
•Comply with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and use MBSE tools.
•Comply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239.
•Develop and maintain processes, checklists, and procedures for tools and data.
•Mentor and review the work of team members.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
•Requires a BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Generally has 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
•Eight (8) or more years’ experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret clearance to start the program.
•Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks.
•Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
•Motivated self-starter with ability to lead and work in a matrix organization and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and program leadership.
•Experience as a functional manager leading a distributed engineering team with direct reports.
•Experience in a customer facing role as a technical/engineering leader.
•Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.
•Track record of effectively managing a large, diverse, team of IT professionals.
•Experience interacting with, and briefing, military and government civilian leadership.
•Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
•Experience conducting root cause analysis and providing recommendations to minimize future risk to the environment.
•Experience with supporting physical and virtual server environments.
•Positive can-do attitude with success leading diverse teams under tight timelines.
•Travel may be required.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs.
•Experience developing SE artifacts in multiple systems development paradigms and methodologies.
•Experience with MS Intune and Azure Cloud Services.
•Certifications:
    -SAFe Practitioner, Scrum Master, Product Owner.
    -Security+.
    -ITIL.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
