Overview

Sev1Tech is looking for a Configuration Management Analyst for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Ordnance Information System (OIS) to provide technical expertise on a mission-critical program whose purpose is to develop, modernize, enhance, operate, and maintain services for OIS mission critical systems.

This role will be a key role for the continued sustainment of the Legacy OIS product and helping to prepare the team for the Next Gen modernization effort. Your primary goal will be to provide vision and guidance for Configuration Management processes and documentation, while ensuring the team understands and follows appropriate CM tasks.

Approximately 5-10% Travel required - Client meetings 2 times a year in Mechanicsburg, PA or Yorktown, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Configuration Management Analyst primary responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for the Configuration Management (CM) of OIS and Software Development Life Cycle documentation as well as application code history/version control.
  • Identify and document the configuration items, using a baseline.
  • Track/manage all product backlog items for OIS and create and update work items in the appropriate work tracking tool, as required.
  • Develop and maintain the OIS Configuration Management Plan, setting standards.
  • Extract data for preparation of management reports.
  • Prepare release packages for approval.
  • Manage the documentation library in the appropriate work tracking tool.
  • Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Check code in and out of the appropriate work tracking tool.
  • Execute basic UNIX commands to move files around and between servers and environments.
  • Package baselines for ship installations.
  • Compile code on both the UNIX and Windows platforms. Submit the executables for the assigned system in accordance with established standards.
  • Verify from a Configuration Management perspective that all tasks are following the approved Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and Software Development Life Cycle processes.
  • Work with Agile Release Team and Software Development resources to design modern configuration management and release practices where the designated tool is used in support of continuous integration/continuous delivery methodologies, pipeline creation, artifact management, and SDLC data collection.


Responsibilities

  • Must have DOD Secret level clearance to start; U.S. Citizen required only for Federal Clearance Requirement
  • Certification Requirement: Directive 8570.1/8140 - IAT II: Security+
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years’ experience; without a degree 4 additional years of experience would be required
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and is process oriented
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects within a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and writing.
  • Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.


Qualifications



  • Navy Ordnance experience
  • Logistics experience, preferably DoD
  • Experience working in a SAFe/Scrum of Scrums organization
