DESCRIPTION

Alternate Perspectives, Incorporated (API) has an immediate opening for an Outreach and Admissions (OA) / Career Transition Specialist (CTS) Manager at one of our operated Job Corps Centers.

If you want to be a part of dynamic team that helps young people ages 16-24-years-old, this job is for you! You will be a part of the nation’s most successful youth training and education program, Job Corps, for the past 60 years.

In this position, you'll be responsible for managing the entire OA and CTS processes for our organization. You'll be the go-to person for developing admissions goals, improving recruitment strategies, and ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you'll be supporting applicants throughout the admissions process, from application to enrollment. As well as on the other end of the process you will be there overseeing the assistance on their next steps after the program when it comes to housing, job obtainment and any other additional transitional services that are needed. Your team is the overall face of our organization and are ambassadors for our mission and values. Some Additional Essential Functions:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and supervise the administrative and programmatic activities of the department. Serve as acting manager in the manager's absence.
  2. Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance and implement departmental changes as approved by the manager, business and community outreach and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementation.
  3. Assist in the development of departmental budgets and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
  4. Assist in the development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting ONCTS; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall center objectives.
  5. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and two years related experience required, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement on a year-by-year basis. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
