JOB SUMMARY:

Provides award negotiation and processing support to faculty and staff within the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

90% - Essential - Funding Agreement Review and Negotiation:

Review and negotiate grant agreements to reduce or mitigate risk for the University. Resolves contractual
problems and disputes in compliance issues, such as intellectual property, publications, insurance
requirements. Works with faculty and sponsor representatives to ensure terms and conditions are
appropriate for contract modifications.

5% - Essential - Proposal Development and Submission:

Compiles application documents in compliance with sponsor guidelines; develops project budgets;
submits application through sponsor grant management systems. Provides guidance to faculty and
staff on Request for Proposal requirements.

5% - Essential - Quality Assurance:

Coordinates compliance activities to ensure accurate reporting of current and pending support; assists with
provision of foreign national information as necessary; advises on compliance with data management plans
requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree and business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree
Certfications - Project Mgmt Professional (PMP), Certified Research Administrator (CRA)
Work Exp 3+ years in Research Administration

RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
