Leidos has a career opportunity for a Windows Imaging Technician to support the Air Force National Capital Region IT Services program.
The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); and National Military Command Center (NMCC). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.

The Leidos Defense Group has an opportunity for a Window imaging technician supporting Air Force users in the National Capital Region. While the position is based at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) in Maryland, the team operates out of Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) in DC and the Pentagon in Virginia and requires work out of all three locations on a regular basis.
The position supports the Platform Services Imaging team in support of the Air Force 844th Communications Group on both NIPRnet and SIPRnet domains at locations throughout the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily at JBA, JBAB, Pentagon. The Platform Services team includes 10+ staff across a wide range of technical disciplines, providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the entire infrastructure and platform services hosted on-premises for the Air Force in the NCR. The infrastructure includes Windows and Linux systems, VMware-based virtualization, MS SQL and Oracle databases, and associated data center network capabilities such as load balancing and 802.1x policy enforcement. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining Tier support for Windows imaging in a highly dynamic and demanding environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Image Windows devices using Windows Deployment and Microsoft Deployment services ensuring efficient deployment and configuration for end-users.
Ensure stock of imagined devices are ready for rapid deployment.
Maintain a standard workstation baseline configuration image per approved USAF/DoD configuration standards.
Ensure workstation deployments follow a defined checklist prior to production deployment ensuring systems are fully patched, anti-virus software and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) software are installed.
Coordinate with external contractors for assets under warranty.
Perform software installations using automated remote deployment mechanisms.
Provide software/application training as needed.
Manage, monitor, track, and resolve all support request tickets and provide daily updates.
Provide basic incident evaluation, fault isolation, analysis, and troubleshooting, and resolution of issues, or escalate if required.
Suggest and implement improvements to the environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional relevant college education can be accepted in lieu of experience.
Active Secret Clearance.
Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
Technical/vocational or military training certificate in a computer-related field.
Experience with performing windows imaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with windows imaging.
Basic incident evaluation, fault isolation, analysis, and troubleshooting experience.
