Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team and contribute to the creation of clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation.
The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining company policies and procedures, including job instructions, guidelines, manuals, and technical guides. This role involves working closely with all subject matter experts to ensure that our documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Documentation Creation:
    • Develop, write, and edit company policies and procedures, including job instructions, guidelines, manuals, and technical guides.
    • Create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a variety of technical products and services.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand objectives and cross-functional relationships.
  • Content Management:
    • Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect changes in process and functionality.
    • Ensure documentation is consistent in style, format, and quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with subject-matter experts and teams to gather information and ensure accuracy.
    • Participate in document development meetings to stay informed about upcoming goals, objectives, and process changes.
    • Conduct interviews with Subject Matter Experts to clarify complex concepts and processes.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Review and edit content created by other team members to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
    • Test and validate the accuracy of documentation by following procedures and instructions provided.
    • Ability to identify gaps within existing technical documents and communicate those gaps in a clear manner to others.
    • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve documentation quality.
    • Maintain the new Management System consistent with industry standards.
  • Tools and Technology:
    • Utilize documentation tools and software such as MS Word, Adobe, Sharepoint, Excel, and Power Point
    • Implement and maintain documentation templates and standards.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technical writing.
Qualifications:
  • Required Skills:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology or engineering environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to write in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
    • Strong proficiency in documentation tools and software such as MS Word, Adobe, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems.
    • Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
