Overview
Duties for this complex study will include running data collection visits with participants, recruitment of participants, coordination of visit scheduling, and consenting participants for the study. Data collection will focus on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data collection visits, and will include biological sample collection. Data collection occurs frequently during the evening and on weekends so the expected work schedule is between the hours of 3.00 pm-11.00 pm on week days, with some weekend availability. Other data collection may include questionnaire measures, biological samples, and other assessments. Duties also include preparing and processing materials needed for each research visit, filing, copying, data processing and other general duties in support of the goals of the study. The candidate will also attend weekly laboratory staff meetings with the PIs and senior staff members.
Essential qualifications include multi-tasking, dependability, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, timely manner. Skilled at oral, email, and written communication. Previous experience working with infants and young children is preferred. Experience with MRIs and/or biological samples is also beneficial. Intermediate computer experience with Word and Excel is preferred. Ability to speak Spanish conversationally is beneficial. Interest in child development, mental health, health care, and addiction treatment desired. The candidate will be required to perform weekend and evening work to complete the study’s goals.

Bachelor’s Degree or major studies in Human Development, Childcare related fields, Psychology, Biology or a related field.
Previous experience with infants and young children involving putting them down for naps and bedtime is preferred.
Intermediate computer experience with Word and Excel, is preferred.
Previous experience working in a research setting, and/or with MRI and biological samples is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred. Knowledge about infant and child development and/or human subjects research preferred.
