Overview

The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities, and patient populations. Responsibilities

  • External applicants- BSN required from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
  • Internal applicants: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree of Nursing awarded from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
  • Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools.
  • Previous experience in ambulatory or infusion.
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patients
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license by 1 week before start date
  • Certification in Basic Life Support certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Valid drivers license

Department Specific Requirements (competencies, equipment, certifications, etc.):

  • Completion of Infusion Nursing Society Fundamentals of Infusion therapy (FIT) modules certification during orientation period
  • Record, track, and assign duties and processes to ensure appropriate billing and revenue generation, when applicable
  • Ability to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary team


Qualifications



  • BSN preferred
  • Previous infusion experience preferred
  • CRNI
  • INS Membership preferred

Department Specific Preferences (experience, competencies, certifications, etc.):

  • At least 1-2 years of hospital nursing experience with direct patient care
  • Recent Experience working in ambulatory infusion
  • Certified Nurse Infusion certification
  • IV access proficiency
  • Experience working with Central Lines, Port-a-cath
