Marketing/Growth Enablement Manager



The University of Pittsburgh marketing / growth enablement manager works within University Communications and Marketing (UCM) overseeing a project portfolio supporting the Plan for Pitt (grad studies, Pitt EDGE Online, etc.) and related strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns, tactics, and content packages as well as developing and directing marketing enablement strategy and project management, technology support and implementation, and process optimization.

The marketing enablement / growth manager will:

  • Develop and implement marketing enablement strategies including campaigns and content packages that support the Plan of Pitt (ex. Grad studies, Pitt EDGE Online, etc.) and other strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate and support the successful implementation and adoption of CRM strategies at the school level, including collecting stakeholder CRM requirements in order to follow best implementation practices.
  • Partner with campus stakeholders to develop relevant and meaningful customer journeys including email campaigns and associated content creation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across campus to create an ecosystem that operates using best marketing and sales enablement practices and processes.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains. Make and implement process recommendations to streamline workflows.
  • Identify and monitor key KPIs to measure the success of marketing enablement initiatives. Regularly report outcomes to leadership including recommendations for improvement.
  • Report to the UCM Senior Director, Strategy and Integration.

Job Summary

Works with business groups to solve more complex problems using technology. Analyzes advanced business needs and evaluates complex business processes to recommend process enhancements. Assists in helping junior and more senior business analysts with complex projects.


Essential Functions

A successful marketing enablement / growth manager will:

  • Be an effective collaborator who has an analytical, creative, inquisitive, and solution-oriented mindset, relying on metics and data to inform, optimize and improve marketing enablement efforts.
  • Have an understanding of student recruitment and / or sales funnels.
  • Have hands on experience designing and executing campaigns / customer journeys, ensuring optimal messaging is received at each step in the marketing funnel.
  • Have experience working with CRMs and an understanding of CRM best practices.

Physical Effort

Duties are primarily sedentary. Must be able to use a computer at a desk or similar workstation, and travel to on-campus meetings as needed.
