Responsibilities


· Responsible for overseeing tasks related to recruitment and managing protocol for SOL and Ancillary studies.

· Coordinate all activities related to IRB (including submissions, amendments, progress reports)

· Monitors goals and progress of study

· Assist in supervision of non-managerial staff*

· Provide Technical Back up as needed: Transmission of data to reading center; uploading and downloading study equipment; troubleshooting issues related to the transmission of study data

· Ensure study protocol is adhered to by assigned team members

· Monitors the quality control aspects of the study including audio QC

· Oversee quality control efforts of Annual Follow –UP for SOL main study

· Enters and maintains data in database, prepares routine and ad hoc reports including Quality Assurance/Control reports. Assists with quality control issues related to all aspects of the study especially in key components (e.g. Nutrition, Actical, Neurocognitive, etc). Reviews data in various systems for quality assurance before reports are distributed to senior staff for review, prior to submission to Center.

· Entering of data in the database when needed but will be also reviewing interviewer’s data for accuracy to ensure that the Bronx site error report is below the acceptable standard. Responsible for identifying and resolving error codes/messages to ensure report accuracy for the Site and be the contact person for generating, monitoring and distributing routine ad hoc reports including quality assurance reports.

· Assist MPI’s with IRB approval issues, consenting, and preparation of data files reporting/progress report.

· Assist with communications to the HCHS-SOL Steering Committee and other activities

· Assist in preparing manuscript for publication; and troubleshoot any data collection or QC issues that arise during the final analysis and publication of data

· Represent the study on monthly national calls and report on local challenges and proposed resolutions

· Participate on local team and PI calls to report on study’s progress and needs

· Supervising 1 clinical interviewer assigned to conduct study interviews for an ancillary study

· Interacts and proactively shares information with internal and external contacts where appropriate;

· Develops effective relationships with peers, students and employees;

· Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion;

· Identifies defines and analyzes information and situations before recommending a course of action;

· Effectively manages own time and resources

· Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and problems

· Conduct meetings to discuss progress with PI and Project Director.




Qualifications


Experience and Educational Background


· Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience required.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish; speaks clearly and expresses self well in one on one conversations and groups; Develop effective written communications and uses them appropriately
