Technical Project Manager
Overview
We lead the industry in the breadth and depth of how we support our customersby becoming an extension of their internal team. Helping our customers deliver world-class care and service is the Professional Services Team. The Professional Services team is seeking a Technical Project Manager who will create and manage an overall project plan (including budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements) for one or more Edifecs engagements. This position will monitor and report progress/changes against the plan as they drive implementation by motivating and directing the project team, a team that may include cross-functional departments, third-party vendors, partners, and the client. The Technical Project Manager will act as the primary interface with the client regarding identifying needs, developing proposals, deliverables, changes, and sign-off on status and requirements. Identify and communicate opportunities for new business.
What you will do:
  • Responsible for the lifecycle management of implementation projects consisting of new clients and applications, and existing clients with new applications and/or modifications to existing applications;
  • Manage the lifecycle of activities on projects including business requirements definition, process analysis, test plans, testing & implementation, go-live plans and post-implementation review;
  • Review architecture documents to confirm they meet project requirements and deadlines, identifying product enhancements as needed;
  • Create project and proposal documentation, content, and estimates;
  • Contribute to and continuously evolves the implementation methodology;
  • Actively leads multiple complex deployment projects at marquee customers;
  • Manage resource requests and calendar for deployment teams;
  • Define project plans for the implementation team;
  • Provide budgetary estimates for new implementation contracts, tracking budget and time/effort costs across all assigned projects;
  • Maintain project status and periodic status reports to customers;
  • Manage issues and risk logs for the assigned projects;
  • Continuously feed deployment team enhancements back to product management;
  • Set up triage process with internal departments to complete problem resolution process;
  • Manage multiple project escalations to triage resolution with product support;
  • Interface with relevant partners at customer sites to ensure project success;
  • Lead business analysis efforts to gather and document business requirements, conduct process analysis, and identify areas for process improvement;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement business solutions that meet project objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Domestic travel to client sites required up to 50%. No international travel.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelors degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a software vendor professional services organization, with demonstrated relevant hands-on technical expertise in the healthcare industry, including:
    • 5 years of experience utilizing knowledge in standard project management methodologies;
    • 5 years of experience interfacing with customer delivery teams, both onsite with customers team, and within the internal organization;
    • 5 years of experience explaining and documenting application requirements;
    • 5 years of experience in leading business analysis and process improvement projects;
    • 5 years of experience prioritizing and delegating in a resource-constrained environment;
    • 5 years of experience utilizing Java technology and SQL Server;
    • 4 years of experience working with payers and providers;
    • 2-3 years of business analyst experience.
Note:This positions expected base pay range is $105,533 - $145,108 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
