Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center Clinical Research Organization is recruiting a Research Billing Analyst. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to review and adjudicate clinical trial research billing of patients identified as being enrolled in a clinical trial; as well as review the coverage analysis and billing grid, along with other pertinent study documents, to ensure research services are billed to the appropriate payer. The Research Billing Analyst will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to understand OnCore and EPIC software clinical research functionality and solutions which will support compliant billing to insurance/patient and research study accounts. Additionally, the Research Billing Analyst will assist in providing an ongoing summary of findings that will be used to identify workflow and/or system issues that will provide feedback to the research study teams along with effort tracking on grants. The Research Billing Analyst will facilitate and maintain patient trial reimbursement as well as invoicing pharmaceutical sponsors.
This position has the potential to work remotely while coming to campus for meetings, trainings, picking up re loadable gift cards and depositing checks when necessary.

Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of direct experience in medical billing or comparable competency in charge documentation or administration. Clinical trial billing experience preferred. Prior claims review preferred.
