Data Analyst / Data Curation Specialist - Treble Lab
We are seeking a motivated and skilled master's level student or recent graduate in Human Genetics, Genome Bioinformatics, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field to join our team at the University of Pittsburgh.
Responsibilities:
? Curate (wrangle, clean, and reformat) de-identified phenotype data exported from a large clinical REDCap database of children with traumatic brain injury (R programming skills required)
? Prepare data for submission to the Database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP)
? Maintain clear and detailed documentation of data curation procedures and automate processes for future database changes / growth
? Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations summarizing workflows and findings
Requirements:
? High school diploma
? Proficiency in the R programming language
? Strong attention to detail is a must
? Ability to work independently
? Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Recommendations:
? Bachelor’s degree / Master’s student status is a plus
? Familiarity with clinical databases, data curation, and data wrangling is a plus
This is a part-time/temporary position.
