Global Forwarding Freight – Morocco has an opening for a Customs Clearance Admin where you will support administration of customs and trade compliance activities to provide clearance of freight documentation through the relevant customs authorities in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies. In this Customs Clearance Admin position

 
  • You will under supervision, support delivery of customs and trade compliance processes and activities to optimize service and cost performance for customs clearance.
  • You will provide administrative support for import/ export documentation such as receiving, reconciling, consolidating/ summarizing documents, and information.
  • You will perform data capturing activities, feed data into customs operating system and set up master data for transactions.
  • You will conduct pre-alert screenings of paperwork, update documentation/ standard operating procedures and support in documentation archiving processes.
  • You will execute filing of customs entries and post-entry work/ transactions.
  • You will update and maintain customer part lists.
  • You will track performance targets, update shipment information and physical status.
  • You will research duty, tax and billing issues/ discrepancies raised by internal and external customers.
  • You will undertake best practices and quality audits to ensure adherence to set quality, accuracy, and timeliness of activities.
  • You will gather and collate data to draft reports and updates for performance monitoring to support other team members.
  • You will achieve compliance with established regulations and ensure proper usage of customs processes and policies.
  • You will resolve recurring issues faced during delivery as per defined processes, systems and methods.
  • You will research, identify, and obtain the permits, licenses, and certificates required for customs clearance and general customs formalities.
  • You will advise customers on legal (e.g. trade compliance - shipments to sanctioned countries) and customs topics.
  • You will contact customs authorities.
  • You will explain facts, practices, policies, etc. to others within the organization adhering to narrowly defined procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • You will support and interact primarily with colleagues of own team.
  • You will communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
  • You will address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.

  • You must hold any one of the following qualification: vocational, specialized, technical or certification
  • 2 years’ experience or less
