JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Coordinator for the NRT-AI: Harnessing AI for Inverse Design Training in Advanced and Sustainable Composites (IDeAS Composites) will work under the direction of Professor Li at Clemson University. This position will be responsible for overseeing the planning, communication, implementation, and evaluation of the training program in close collaboration with the faculty team and outside partners involved with the program.

JOB DUTIES:

20% - Essential: Develop, coordinate, and implement program policies and activities in collaboration with the principal investigators and other participating faculty/staff at both Clemson University and University of Delaware. Communicate with faculty, staff, and students in the program about program activities ad requirements for successful completion of the program. This will include communicating also with other units on both campuses such as the Graduate School, multiple colleges, registrar, financial aid, etc.

20% - Essential: Design and implement best practice recruitment strategies with the goal of attracting diverse applicants. Develop marketing materials and publicize the program through flyers, social media, and website communications. Engage with student inquiries and provide program information to prospective students.

20% - Essential: Implement data collection systems for assessment/reporting/evidence based decisions. Collect, maintain, and share program records according to university policies. Ensure that the program remains in compliance (e.g., IRB ). Support the PI in completing the NSF annual reports, which detail the program accomplishments, research products, and other activities. This includes compiling all publications and presentations for the project each year, and updating the personnel table for the project for NSF.

20% - Essential: Financial management of the project including budget projections and monitoring and reporting of variances/problems and recommend solutions. Supervise and communicate with administrative staff on student appointments, faculty salary, and travel reimbursement.

20% - Essential: Serve as a mentor to PhD students and develop systems to ensure that the students are meeting all the program requirements. The trainees have a number of program requirements, such as taking classes and professional development activities. The coordinator will act as an additional mentor to the students to ensure they are supported and will communicate with the students on their progress throughout the program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree And relevant program experience, or to STEM, project management, or business.

Work Experience: 1+ years.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master's Degree - In a related field.
Work Experience: 2+ years.
