As a Customer Onboarding Specialist at The Standard, you'll lead and manage the on-boarding process for new Employee Benefits customers in the small case market. Your role will involve gathering and verifying customer information, submitting accurate details to Policyholder Services, and ensuring a smooth transition through contract drafting, billing setup, and final installation. You'll be the main point of contact for resolving issues and answering customer queries, while also educating them about our products and services. By leveraging your understanding of the on-boarding lifecycle and building strong relationships with internal teams, you'll drive a positive customer experience and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Responsibilities include managing on-boarding for new groups, verifying and submitting case information, and facilitating contract and billing processes.

  • Educate customers about our products and services and ensure a seamless installation experience.

  • Act as the primary contact for customer issues and work towards resolution, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and manage multiple projects effectively is a requirement of the role.*

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Must-have: 3+ years of group insurance experience with a focus on project management, case management, or customer service.
  • Must-have: Proven problem-solving skills and experience handling complex on-boarding activities.
  • Must-have: Direct customer-facing experience in employee benefits.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Other: Effective communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$62,750.00 - $92,000.00
