Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to software application developers in maintaining their virtualized Windows environment. With the expectation of moving 30% of all systems to the cloud
  • Responsible for the infrastructure design, configurations, implementations, and day to day operations & management of the application and hosting servers.
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade process of COTS applications developed by the customer.
  • Translate Application/System configuration requirements and coordinate implementation tasks with government management, application developers, network and security teams.
  • Evaluate and improve current processes or design and implement new processes to meet business needs.
  • Provide engineering support to remediate Systems and Networking break-fix activities.
  • Work with teammates and government leadership to articulate the needs of the customer to delivery services at a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree along with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in IT customer support or an Associate degree or H.S. diploma with at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
  • Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Self-management of technical projects to include timelines, design, implementation, build and test plans
  • Experienced the design, build, implementation, and management of a VMWare 7.0 and above environment
  • Experienced in the design, build, implementation, and management of a Nutanix Hyper-converged platform
  • Experienced using Windows 2016, 2019, and 2022 in regards to building servers, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Experienced with Windows GPOs, DNS, and all things Active Directory (AD)
  • Experienced using Service Now Ticketing system
  • Monitoring servers along with resident applications and providing/implementing solutions
  • Create and/or maintain documentation, processes, and procedures
  • Communicating with infrastructure, security, and agency leadership about work that is active, completed, and in backlog status
  • Strong communication skills oral and written, and a self-motivated attitude

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with server management tools such as BigFix and/or SolarWinds
  • Hyper-convergence technology experience with Nutanix
  • Hands on experience with Azure and/or AWS Cloud
  • Experience with Cohesity
  • Experience in process automation and scripting (i.e Jenkins or Docker)
  • Experience with PowerShell, BASH, Perl, or other scripting
