Job Details:

The School of Medicine at Mercer University is searching for an Executive Director of Marketing Operations & Community Relations.


Responsibilities:

This position will oversee the marketing team and activities for Mercer Medicine and Mercer University School of Medicine. The incumbent is responsible for assessing and creating the organization’s marketing plan and brand strategy and then planning, coordinating, directing, and executing marketing efforts. This includes all print and digital marketing to promote the Mercer Medicine brand (e.g., email, search engine optimization, Google My Business, social media, etc.). The incumbent will also analyze patient insights, online trends and key performance metrics to optimize marketing spend to ensure successful campaign performance. The incumbent will supervise the Director of Marketing & Communications, Mercer University, School of Medicine (MUSM), and oversee the MUSM/MM marketing team.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration or a related field and at least 10 years of healthcare marketing experience are required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

The position requires a solid understanding of how the organization's capabilities interrelate across department(s) in Mercer Medicine and School of Medicine. Results-driven promoting a culture of high performance with a focus on successful outcomes:

-Good communication skills, providing professional advice with confidence;

-Agile, able to work on several projects at any given time and adapt to a fast-paced environment where change is frequent and unpredictable;

-Analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and review marketing metrics and trends to identify opportunities and threats;

-Good understanding of patient demographics and segmenting;

-Knowledge of media terminology systems and internal tools;

-Ability to build strong relationships with other departments, leaders and physicians throughout Mercer Medicine and MUSM;

-Ability to keep senior leadership abreast of marketing campaign performance as well as workflow, project status and due dates.
