Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Senior Paralegal to work on-sight in support of a Federal Agency in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Paralegal will provide professional, accurate, timely, and reliable paralegal support reporting to the customer and will be detailed to assist other offices as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of Paralegal degree or certificate

  • Bachelors degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum of five or more years of litigation paralegal experience with trial experience.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

  • Knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS and Westlaw.

  • Experience performing legal research and writing.

  • Experience preparing legal memoranda and correspondence.

  • Experience assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation, including aiding with discovery requests and responses; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; drafting motions and briefs; organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices; and assisting at trial.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stake-holders.

  • Experience consistently delivering highest quality work under pressure.

  • Hands-on experience or training with ESI tools and general knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.

  • Hands on experience or training using relational databases to track the steps occurring in litigation and to document case milestones.

  • Ability to summarize legal issues and facts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Law degree desired

  • Prior experience working in a Federal Government environment

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
