About the role:

To investigate customer claims for lost or damaged parcels and where applicable to either decline or agree a financial settlement within the parameters of our terms and conditions of carriage.


  • Monitoring respective locations and accounts to ensure that all claims are processed within specified timescales.
  • Liaising internally with all DHL locations
  • Liaising with customers to obtain claim details
  • Determining liability within the Company's Terms and Conditions of Carriage to ensure accurate settlement of customer claims.
  • Recovering costs from insurers and / or third parties where applicable.
  • Generation and issuing of claims correspondence and reports
  • To complete daily and weekly log sheet of work processed
  • Replying to daily emails
  • Ad-hoc duties when required
