HME is looking for your talent! If you are a Janitor Lead seeking to work 2nd shift, Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, we would love to hear from you!

What you will do in the position:

  • Provide general housecleaning duties in accordance with the approved schedule.
  • Clean, disinfect, and resupply restrooms.
  • Remove litter, wastepaper, and broken-down boxes from buildings, disposing of waste in proper dumpsters (i.e. recyclable, non-recyclable.
  • Vacuum carpeted floors and performs high and low dusting.
  • Maintain cleanliness of carpeted and tiled floors.
  • Wet mop tile floors and performs spot-cleaning, as needed.
  • Provide general maintenance and secures storage/supply rooms.
  • Escort cleaning suppliers making deliveries.
  • Assist with construction, moving of furniture and shelving, and replacement of light bulbs/ballasts as assigned.
  • Keep track of ladders, vacuums, page, and other equipment used within scope of job.

Additional Facilities Assignments

  • Performs miscellaneous housecleaning and maintenance duties approved by manager.
  • Follows safety procedures and wears required personal protective equipment when working in enclosed spaces, working with chemicals, etc.
  • Reads and understands Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and uses chemicals properly, informing manager of any level 3 or higher.
  • Performs conference room set-ups for large meetings and company events.
  • Distributes special tasks evenly among janitors as requested by supervisor.
  • Performs all other job responsibilities as assigned.

What you will need to succeed in this position:

  • Knowledge of and safe use of all cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Average mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.

Pay Range: $17.50 - $23.32/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
