Job Summary
The University of Kentucky seeks an Associate Professor in Lexington, KY to provide care services in the Pediatric Genetics/Metabolic division. This position requires an MD, DO or the foreign equivalent, completion of residency in Pediatrics and fellowship for clinical and/or biochemical genetics.
Kentucky Children’s Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The hospital has more than 30 advanced sub-specialty programs, such as pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery. The Division works with the Kentucky Department of Health, Division of Newborn Screening to provide follow up for biochemical disorders suspected on the basis of universal infant blood spot screening. Staff Members include physician, nurses, therapeutic dietitian, lab specialists, genetic counselors, staff coordinators and often physicians in training.
