Overview

The College of Arts & Science (CAS) is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join the preprofessional advising team. The Associate Director will provide general academic advising to CAS students, and manage prehealth advising and programming for students and alumni of the university who are interested in pursuing health professions. Collaborate with department staff to develop office policies and procedures.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Master's Degree

Preferred Education:
Terminal degree

Required Experience:
5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with student advisement, student personnel administration and event planning.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels. Familiarity with word processing, database and spreadsheet software. Experience in public speaking and publication design.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of medical school admissions process.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
