Production Operator I

Wilsonart,in Denver,currently has an opening for a Production Operator I position.This position bonds all panels on the days daily production schedule. They are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the glue line. They work with both Laminate and Core Staging to report and replace any laminate or core that is damaged during the process. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
• Checks and places materials in the correct bin
• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
• Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials
• Cuts down over-sized laminate and core to fill pending orders
• Reads, interprets, processes, and packs orders
• Assists with other warehouse duties based on business need
• Assists the needs of the customer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to learn materials inventoried
• Ability to learn packing techniques
• Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to drive a lift truck
• Ability to read and understand customer orders
• Ability to operate a panel saw
• Ability to trim excess laminate off of panels on an as needed basis

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

High School Graduate or GED

EXPERIENCE

1+ years of work history

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs)

COMPENSATION: $22.66 $26.56/HR, DOE

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Wilsonart, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
